Investment Manager – Aviation

Guy Tapley joined Investment New Zealand in 2001 from Trade New Zealand. Since then he has assisted a range of overseas companies establish export-based operations in New Zealand. These cover various sectors, including specialised manufacturing, biotechnology, wood processing, and information and communications technology (ICT).

He has a special project responsibility and is currently managing the investigation and development of a range of investment projects under the South Pacific Aerospace Centre of Excellence (SPACE), a joint initiative with the Canterbury Development Corporation (CDC). He is also one of Investment New Zealand’s managers for wood processing investment.

Background and expertise

Guy holds a Master of Arts (Hons) from the University of Canterbury, and a Diploma in International Marketing awarded by the Export Institute of New Zealand. He has also trained in international business attraction with the Australian Graduate School of Management, and in negotiation on an INSEAD course at the University of Canterbury School of Business, New Zealand.
